Off to Busan (pronounced Pu-san) with Hello Friends!
"Hello Friends is a community outreach program sponsored by AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce) and supported by American Women's Club. It consists of a dedicated group of volunteers who go to schools throughout Korea and teach English to young school children. It is a long-running program recognized by both the volunteers and the children as an incredibly worthwhile experience."
Busan is Korea's largest shipping port. I have never in my life seen so many barges and ships in a harbor. We weren't blessed with good weather, but we all made the most out of it.

Taking a walk along the beach...
Visiting the United Nations Memorial Cemetery2300 brave soldiers from various countries who loast their life during the Korean War are buried here. The cemetery was impecccable--and the landscape and grounds were manicured to perfection.

Oct. 24th 24th :Busan JwaChon Elementary (좌천)신반리 
This school was amazing. The kids were so well behaved and we all had a great time. The school even had a banner made to welcome us.
In the hall, they displayed various types of student's art work. Many were very talented.

Lunch: sashimi and sushi--we had so much food!
After lunch, we headed back to the train station--the bullet train is an amazingly fast train--making the trip from Busan to Seoul only 3 hours. It reached speeds of up to 200 mph.
